Recently, our team had the opportunity to attend the Taipei Tattoo Convention in Taiwan, one of the most exciting tattoo events in Asia.

As tattoo artists, conventions are more than just events—they are opportunities to connect with artists from around the world, experience different artistic perspectives, and stay inspired by the ever-evolving tattoo industry.

This year's convention was especially meaningful for us. Not only were we able to meet talented artists from different countries, but our studio was also honored to receive both 1st and 2nd place awards during the event.

It was a memorable experience that reminded us why we continue pushing ourselves to grow as artists.

Experiencing the Energy of the Taipei Tattoo Convention

Experiencing the Energy of the Taipei Tattoo Convention

From the moment we entered the venue, the atmosphere was incredible.

The convention floor was filled with artists, collectors, tattoo enthusiasts, and industry professionals from across Asia and beyond. Every booth showcased a unique artistic identity, creating an environment full of creativity and inspiration.

Throughout the event, live tattooing sessions were taking place, allowing visitors to watch artists work in real time. Seeing finished tattoos online is one thing, but witnessing the process in person offers a completely different appreciation for the skill, patience, and dedication behind each piece.

The convention brought together a wide range of styles, including Japanese traditional tattooing, black and grey realism, fine line work, neo-traditional designs, and large-scale custom projects.

Learning from Artists Around the World

Learning from Artists Around the World

One of the most valuable aspects of attending international tattoo conventions is the opportunity to connect with other artists.

Over the course of three days, we had the chance to speak with tattooers from various countries, exchange ideas, discuss techniques, and share experiences from our respective tattoo communities.

Although every artist has a different approach, one thing became clear: the pursuit of better work is universal.

Whether through composition, technical execution, storytelling, or artistic style, every artist was striving to create tattoos that would stand the test of time.

These conversations provided fresh inspiration and encouraged us to continue refining our own artistic direction.

Seeing Tattoo Art Beyond Social Media

Seeing Tattoo Art Beyond Social Media

Social media has made it easier than ever to discover amazing tattoo work from around the world.

However, seeing tattoos in person remains irreplaceable.

At the convention, we were able to closely examine healed pieces, large-scale body projects, and award-winning works from some of the industry's most talented artists.

The level of detail, contrast, flow, and overall composition often looks completely different in person than it does on a phone screen.

Experiences like this serve as an important reminder that great tattooing is not only about creating an image—it is about designing artwork that works harmoniously with the human body.

A Proud Moment for Our Studio

Among all the unforgettable moments from the convention, the awards ceremony was undoubtedly the highlight.

Surrounded by outstanding artists and impressive work from around the world, we were incredibly honored to see members of our studio receive both 1st and 2nd place awards.

The recognition meant a great deal to us, not only because of the results themselves but because they reflected the countless hours of dedication, practice, and preparation behind every tattoo.

Competing on an international stage and receiving positive recognition from judges and fellow artists was a rewarding experience that we will not forget.

Why International Tattoo Conventions Matter

Why International Tattoo Conventions Matter

Events like the Taipei Tattoo Convention play an important role in the tattoo industry.

They create opportunities for artists to learn, collaborate, and challenge themselves while helping tattoo culture continue to evolve globally.

For us, attending international conventions is about much more than competition. It is about growth, inspiration, and building connections within the worldwide tattoo community.

Every convention leaves us with new ideas, new motivation, and a renewed appreciation for the craft.

Looking Forward

Looking Forward

Our experience at the Taipei Tattoo Convention was both inspiring and humbling.

Over three days, we met incredible artists, saw outstanding work, and gained valuable insights that will influence our future projects.

Receiving 1st and 2nd place awards was an honor, but more importantly, the event reminded us that there is always more to learn and more room to grow.

We are grateful to everyone who supported us throughout this journey and look forward to bringing everything we learned back into our future work.

Thank you for following our journey, and we hope to see you at future conventions around the world.
